Sub plan for Thursday

 Government
-3 party groups meet to create Mascot, Slogans, Powerpoint
-Students all know what to do.

 8th Grade History
 -Chapter 3 Section 2
      Create your own Mayflower Compact (List of Rules, p. 77-78)
 -Write a list of 10 rules you would insist on for you and the people
   who are about to leave the ship.
 Read Section 2 answer: 2,3,4 p. 80

-Chapter 3 Section 3
*New piece of paper
*Draw 2 lines from top to bottom dividing paper into 3 equal
columns.
*At the top of the left column write NEW YORK
*At the top of the center column write NEW JERSEY
*At the top of the Right column write PENNSYLVANIA

*In each column write 10 things about each colony from the text.
*When students have their 30 things, let them visit with other
students to compare lists.

If time:  Assign Section 3 p. 85 2,3,4
                                                

 10th Grade History
 -Divide class into 3 groups(as even as you can)
Group A – Charles II
Group B – James II
Group C – William and Mary

Each group gets a classroom computer.
Research your monarch for information of why he/she is the best Monarch.  The information your group chooses will be shared with other groups in an all class meeting.  Who was the best???  Keep your info sheets to give to Mr. Mac next class.

Extra credit:  Create a song using the information you found on your Monarch.  15pts to be applied to any assignment/test you want.  3 verses with a chorus.

Read Section 2 p.72-78, answer questions 3-5 p.78

Next class---Quiz on Stono Rebellion, Middle Passage, Role of Women in South.
